The Midori
The Midori Sour is a 'sweet & sour' long drink characterized by a hypnotic fluorescent green color thanks to Midori, a Japanese liqueur made from Yubari melon with a sweet flavor balanced by the acidity of lemon, enhancing its freshness.
Midori, with its name chosen by Suntory from Osaka, one of the oldest alcoholic beverage production and distribution companies in the Land of the Rising Sun, was officially launched in Tokyo in 1971 during the International Bartending Championship.
Midori, which means 'green' in Japanese, is perfect both as an aperitif and as a drink to be enjoyed before or after dinner.
Midori timepiece
Often garnished with a Maraschino cherry, it is a 'build' cocktail that is prepared directly in the glass and then mixed with a bar spoon. It starts by adding ice, then pouring Midori, lemon juice, Sweet & Sour, and soda as needed.
This model is equipped with an automatic movement with GMT function, the Japanese-made Seiko NH34a.
Our Midori watch naturally features a dial in green tones and a case back with the laser-engraved reproduction of the glass used to serve it, framed by a multitude of ice cubes to remain true to the spirit of the cocktail.
