The Bomba Blu
The Out of Order Shaker Automatic GMT "Bomba Blu" features a case (40 mm x 13.08 mm) crafted from 316L stainless steel with an exclusive and patented OOO® aging process.
Created in 1980 by an Italian barman Giovanni Pepè with the colorful nickname of Mammina, his signature drink, the Blue Bomb, is a simple variant of the Blue Lagoon. As a popular drink in Italy of the 1990’s, it was also known as the Blue Angel because it "gives you wings".
For others it’s a tribute to the 1930 film from Marlene Dietrich or even one of the nicknames of the warrior Ken Shiro from a mythical Japanese cartoon.
Bomba Blu Timepiece
This model is equipped with an automatic movement with GMT function, the Japanese-made Seiko NH34a.
This unmistakable drink was also a favorite of actor Don Johnson who played Sonny in the cult TV show Miami Vice. Out of Order® is also on the long list of Blue Bomb fans, and for our fellow OOO travelers, we’ve dedicated a shaded dial in tones of blue and light blue to this intriguing cocktail as a tribute to the Caribbean island of Curaçao with its shiny beaches and crystalline sea.
The medium-tall glass usually used for this life-giving drink is laser engraved on the case back, surrounded by goofy emoticons that match its playful spirit.
Enhanced Nighttime Legibility
Under the domed sapphire coated crystal insert of the 60-click bidirectional rotating bezel you’ll find internal numbering printed in Superluminova®, amplifying its brightness making the time readable even in total darkness.

I love the aesthetic of this watch. The Japanese garden motif is incredible, and the back of the case is stunning. Most of my watches are automatic, but I’m actually glad I got this one in quartz. I also love the patina, and all in all, this is a statement piece that I’m sure will start some conversations. Thanks!
this has the decades old classic dive watch look we all associate with the finest dive sport watches, with surprisingly well done aged patina and distressing. the build quality is superb including less major things like the cyclops date eye, which magnifies better than just about any i've seen. BiG surprise was the bi-directional bezel. upon ordering i thought it might just be a unracheted friction bezel to save money, but no...it's got really precise clicks in both directions with excellent feel and alignment. but that's the watch: everything is done very well. i would have liked better lume on the hands, but will be ordering some higher lumed hands online for not much money. and i've already added my own lume dot on the bezel triangle, so pretty much it's the perfect watch now.

got the blue automatico with NH35 movement on canvas. while the faux patina is super realistic, the quality of everything on the watch is anything but beat up. despite the very cool looks of these watches i thought the price might be a bit too high, but i just loved the automatics and classic diver style. but getting the watch i see these are very fairly priced. the quality is top notch. i've had the famous Swiss submariner which i bought new some 25 years ago, as well as a host of $1000 to $1500 Swiss divers, and this ranks as well as far as quality of build and veracity of the classic diver style. while the movement is clearly a well-known economical movement, it has requisite hacking and winding, but that allows for an affordable price. the only thing i wish had been improved is the brightness of the lume. i can easily and inexpensively get new super lumed hands aftermarket, which will solve the issue. i also put a dot of high brightness lume on the bezel since it came with no lume pip...but that's up to the purchaser if it's important or not. i still give this a full five stars as a superbly built and designed watch (tho it is an homage type piece). it is now one of my favorite to slap on and see on my wrist. job well done! (p.s. i also couldn't resist putting on a quick release blue tropics style watch strap to complete the very 60s vibe).

Overall, I'd say any number of qualities makes this watch not only an attractive choice, but a well-engineered machine, to boot. It's a solid automatic GMT made from quality materials (316L steel, sapphire crystal glass, and so on), but it's also a well-styled and versatile piece. You could just as easily wear it with a suit as you could a T-shirt. What I also appreciate is the embossed bezel, and a somewhat skeletal case that manages to be original without being tacky. It shows you just enough of the movement without being distracting. The aging process for the steel is well done, too. Anyone making a watch like this could have easily gotten it wrong. Out Of Offer's craftsmanship speaks volumes. I would highly recommend purchasing from them. Sadly, I think this watch is a limited run, but they have a lot of other great stuff.
