The intricate ornamental designs of the ancient Aztecs, characterized by complex geometric patterns, religious symbols, and depictions of nature, have profoundly influenced the Diverissimo Ottanio’s design. Out of Order’s creatives drew inspiration from geometric figures such as straight lines, spirals, triangles, and rhombuses, which the Aztecs used to create repetitive, symmetrical patterns. These motifs, carved in stone or painted on ceramics and textiles, reflect a strong sense of order and symmetry.
These artistic elements, which remain fascinating and distinctive today, reflect the Aztecs’ enigmatic worldview, where every motif had a specific meaning. In the Diverissimo Ottanio, these patterns come to life in a sophisticated texture visible on the double-layer dial, with the matte aqua-green upper layer decorated with dual Superluminova® C3 printing. This is my 4Th OOO and i love them all! My newest one is the Red and Blue Automatic. As expected it is well built and feels great on the wrist. It reminds me of the Red and Blue watches Pan Am had for their Pilots back in the 1950's and 50's. Hope to see a GMT in 044MM some day from OOO!
