This borderless Swiss GMT family is appropriately proud to present two new models, both offered in a limited edition of 100 pieces for each design: the Very Blu GMT New York and the Oxidized Green GMT New York. Each watch is individually engraved on the bottom of the case with a unique edition number.
GMT NEW YORK
In 2019, Out of Order Watches expanded its product range by presenting the Swiss GMT collection. Since then, this diverse family of watches from the made-in-Veneto team at Out of Order offered several models whose design draws inspiration from cities around the globe, allowing you to travel the world without leaving home (but we heartily recommend you leave home once in a while ☺).
In that same year, for the first time ever in the timepiece industry, Out of Order developed a process to stabilize rust in our designs.
Four years later in 2022, Out of Order Watches has decided to take on New York. Why the Big Apple? Out of Order watches feels a spiritual connection with the city that never sleeps thanks to the Italian brand’s belief that “whoever stops is lost”.
The Oxidized Green GMT New York
is inspired by the Statue of Liberty, a monument dedicated to liberty and icon of the United States of America, a nation that fought for independence and freedom for all people. Due to the copper statue’s oxidized exterior, it only took about 20 years for Lady Liberty’s original copper color to transform to its modern shade of green.
To match that current hue, the Oxidized Green sports a "sunburnt" oxidized green dial with an applied bezel in hand-brushed OOO® aluminum, with a bi-color finish in black and oxidized green. The case back depicts the head of the statue sporting a crown with 25 stones (or windows) and seven rays representing the seven continents and seas to which the light of justice shines from the torch of freedom in her outstretched hand.
Like every OOO watch, each piece is unique thanks to the hand-aged OOO® treatment performed by expert craftsmen on every single piece we produce. Attention to detail is even found on the smallest detail like the side of case where you’ll find the laser-engraved wording, “Made in Italy”.
